How do I organize Açaí Superfruit Packs in my freezer storage?
We will walk you through step by step how best to unpack your shipment from SAMBAZON and stock it in an organized fashion in your freezer. No matter whether you order 10 or 25 Bags of Açaí Packets, they are sure to fit in your freezer with a little bit of organization.
Step 1: Receive your shipment and safely open the sustainable packaging
The first step is to make sure to pick up your package off your front porch with a smile! We recommend you move your products from their packaging and into a freezer on the same day it’s delivered to ensure it stays fresh.
What if my product arrives soft?
If some of your items arrived somewhat soft, this is perfectly safe. While it doesn’t always happen, it is common for some melting around the edges of the packet to happen during transit. As long as the packets are not fully melted and exposed to warmer temperatures for prolonged periods, they are still safe to refreeze and consume.
Step 2: Disposing of the Packaging
All Sambazon orders ship with environmentally safe recyclable packaging and dry ice. To ensure that you properly dispose of these items, make sure to follow the steps outlined below.
What should I do with the packaging and insulation once I receive my products?
Our orders ship in recyclable insulated boxes with dry ice to keep your products cold during delivery. To properly dispose of dry ice please leave it in a well-ventilated area at room temperature so the dry ice can sublimate away. Please keep out of reach of children or pets and do not touch the dry ice with your bare hands to avoid injuries like mild-to-severe frostbite. You can safely dispose of the box and packaging materials in your recycling bin.
Step 3: Organize your Açaí Packs
Time to "Marie Kondo" your freezer - let's get organized! We recommend opening up the bags that our packets are shipped in and tearing them into individual pieces to organize them best. Use storage containers to make it easier to stack these packets as close together as possible.
How much freezer space do the Açaí Packets take up?
The freezer space needed for 10 Açaí Superfruit bags would be 12" x 6" x 7". Lining up the packets in a row, 20 packets occupy 16” x 7” x 3”. Please keep in mind the packets are loose and can be situated to fit any configuration in your freezer since they are individual 3.5oz packets, making food storage easy.

How long do SAMBAZON frozen products last?
Each product is labeled with a best-by date on the package. The product should be stored frozen throughout the shelf life and consumed by this date.

What materials are orders packed and shipped in, is it sustainable?
Our orders are packaged in sustainable and recyclable insulated boxes with dry ice to keep your products cold during delivery. Instead of using styrofoam, which can release toxic contaminants and is a major pollutant, SAMBAZON uses a combination of cardboard boxes and PET insulated box liners to keep our Açaí cold during shipping. Our box liners are earth friendly and made from 85% PET fiber post-consumer plastic. It’s curbside recyclable #1 along with your plastic trash.
Can I thaw Açaí Superfruit Packs?
If needed, we recommend gently thawing our Superfruit packs. In general, we do not recommend microwaving our products to thaw them. Please bring the smoothie packs out of the freezer and place them on the countertop to thaw at room temperature for a few minutes before placing them in the blender. The smoothie pack packaging is not meant to hold completely thawed product, please remember to consume them soon after gently thawing.
